TRiM Barbershops first ever Newsletter!

2018 promises to be an exciting year for TRiM Barbershops and you will start noticing many positive developments within our business. We will keep you updated via our quarterly newsletter which will be available in our barbershops at Bilbrook, Bushbury and Wednesfield and also on our website.  Our brand is growing and we have had a great deal of positive feedback from our ever-growing customer base regarding how our brand is progressing and how comfortable they feel visiting our shops. It is important to us that you feel at home and are treated with courtesy and comfort during your visit.  We appreciate any feedback from you and we strive to
constantly improve the service we offer.  Should you have any suggestions that could make our business
even more dynamic and customer friendly, (sensible ones only please!) you can send us an email or let one of the shop managers know.

NEW TRiM APP COMING SOON!

Some of you may be aware that over the past few months we have been trialling our new TRiM Barbershops app –
unfortunately, we have been experiencing a few teething problems with its development. The good news is that it should be up and running by the end of February (fingers crossed!)  The app has some exciting features such as a loyalty card, (no more searching for a loyalty card or losing it just before you claim your free haircut!) access to latest news, a feedback section for you to rate your visit, special offers and much
more!  You will be able to download the app for free from the App Store or Google Play.

Outstanding Employee Achievements
Last September we appointed Natalie as manager at TRiM Bilbrook. Congratulations Natalie & we wish you every success within this role. Natalie has been with the company just over a year and in this time she has shown first class barbering skills, professionalism and commitment and is becoming an excellent manager.  Furthermore,  congratulations to Natalie for being ever-present during her first year and Grant at TRiM Bushbury for being everpresent up to his 2nd year anniversary.  They have both shown immense work ethic, motivation and dedication and are an example to others.

Employee Training Opportunities
TRiM Barbershops are dedicated to employee development – barbers constantly learn new skills in order to keep up with new trends. We constantly liaise with our barbers and actively promote refresher courses to ‘brush-up’ on our skills.  The training doesn’t stop there. Our managers are offered the opportunity to gain leadership qualifications in order to enhance their ability to deliver an efficient and comfortable environment for our customers and staff.

CHARITY FUNDRAISING
Over the years, TRiM has supported many charities such as Breast Cancer UK and SANDS. Marcello completed 10 events including 3 half marathons and the notorious ‘Tough Guy’ back in 2015, raising almost £1800 for Compton Hospice. The Steve Bull Foundation was also part of our fundraising campaign a few years ago and most recently we raised £241.20 for The Good Shepherd Ministry from our Christmas competition.
This would have been impossible without our customers’ support. A huge thank you to all of you who donated. Helen Holloway from The Good Shepherd Ministry was incredibly grateful for the kindness and generosity shown.
Supporting small local charities is of great importance to us and each year we will be supporting a different local charity & holding fundraising events throughout the year, we will keep our customers up to date with all fundraising activities.  This year the chosen charity is The Haven Wolverhampton. The Haven supports women and children who are vulnerable to domestic violence, homelessness and abuse.
You can find out more about our chosen charity at:  www.havenrefuge.org.uk
If you are interested in assisting us in any way with our fundraising, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

TRiM Apprenticeship Scheme Investing in Youth

Apprenticeships are a great way for young people to get into a career in the barbering industry. We have
changed the way we recruit staff and have realised that in order to provide the best service for our customers it is important to develop and train staff not only first class barbering skills, but equally important customer service skills, management, marketing and business acumen.  TRiM Barbershops are now working alongside local
colleges, investing in youth and training students to become TRiM barbers and TRiM managers of the
future.

Olly and Neil – Welcome to the team!

We currently have two apprentices on our apprenticeship scheme, Olly at TRiM Bilbrook and Neil at TRiM Wednesfield.  Many thanks to those of you who have ‘modelled’ for Olly and Neil already – these students are at the beginning of their journey to becoming professional barbers. We are relying on the help of customers to volunteer to ‘model’ for Olly and Neil, enabling them to gain the necessary practical experience needed to enhance their skills.
If you are interested, please let one of the managers know – a senior barber will always supervise an apprentice and
check over their work and ensure you are happy with your haircut. A discounted rate is our way of saying ‘thank you’!

BRIEF NOTE ON CLOSING TIMES
TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT, IT IS ADVISED  TO VISIT OUR SHOPS AT LEAST AN HOUR
BEFORE CLOSING. OUR DOORS WILL BE CLOSED EARLY IF WE HAVE CUSTOMERS WAITING WHICH WILL
TAKE THE STAFF UP TO CLOSING, ENABLING THEM TO LEAVE ON TIME. THANK YOU!
